What about people who can't read HTML email
No problem. eConnect has proprietary technology---when you send a eConnect to somebody, eConnect delivers the highest quality, perfectly formatted message that the person can read. If a person can't read HTML, they receive a great looking "plain-text" message. And, if you would like, you can always override the default to send HTML messages and just deliver a person a "plain-text" message even though the person may very well be able to read HTML (they may just happen to not want to).

How does it work? Can I upload my own HTML?
eConnect is a fast and powerful system that allows you to BUILD, SEND and TRACK "eConnect" emails. eConnect provides all of the tools---you just type in your message! To build your first eConnect:
- Take a test drive to set-up your account and login!
- At the "manage template" screen, simply choose a template and click one button to upload your banner!
- Then, use the templates to BUILD your eConnect.
EXPERTS ONLY: If you like programming and would prefer to use your own HTML code for your eConnect, it is easy to do. After you have completed your HTML, by clicking just one button on eConnect, all of your HTML is uploaded! So, you have a choice, you can use our user-friendly templates to create HTML or upload your own!

How do I use templates?
Just pick a template and then type (or "cut and paste") your message. To include graphics or images, just use the "drop-down" menu to tell us where to find the graphics or images on your hard drive and we will upload them to the template for you! Our templates are a super easy feature to use!

In addition to graphics and images, can I upload songs and movies
Yes. You can upload almost any type of media that you will find on webpages (banners, logos, animated graphics, images, songs, audio files, flash files, etc.). If you are interested in providing "streaming media," eConnect can handle that too!

How big should my banners, graphics and images be
As far as pixels are concerned, your banner should be no wider than 600 pixels wide and no taller than 100 pixels; your graphics and images should generally be no wider than 150 pixels. All of your banners, graphics and images should be .jpg or .gif format and should be no larger than 110k.

If I'm sending HTML, do I also need to format a text version
eConnect does this for you! When you create your email with our templates, Text (and AOL) versions are automatically generated for you. When the email reaches your customer's inbox, the appropriate format is then delivered to them.

Can I upload my mailing list
Yes. You can upload your mailing list. eConnect has a mailing list "import" function that allows you to upload a list from Excel, Outlook, Act! or any other database program---once your list is in a "tab-delimited text file," eConnect will import it for you. eConnect's import speed is over 1,000 names per second (so, to import 25,000 names would take less than 25 seconds).

Can I have separate mailing lists
Yes. You can have as many mailing lists as you would like. From your "master contacts list" you can also easily add (or remove) people from one or more of your mailing lists at any time.

Does eConnect "filter" for duplicate addresses and invalid addresses
Yes. eConnect purges all duplicate email addresses from your list (so the same email address won't get more than one message) and advises you of invalid addresses (so you can delete the address or try to fix it). eConnect also automatically adds people to your list who have subscribed and removes those who have unsubscribed---the whole list management process is automated for you!

How do I actually send the message
After you have built your message and previewed it (to make sure it looks perfect) you are ready to send some test messages (to yourself and maybe a few other people on your team). Simply type in their email address and press send. When you are ready to send the message to everybody on your mailing list, just click "broadcast."

What kind of tracking is available
With eConnect's Campaign Tracking, you have "real-time" access to reports and charts! You can see exactly who read your message and how many times they clicked through to your website---the reports show which people unsubscribed and which, if any, emails "bounced." In addition to the detailed reports, summary reports (with colorful charts) are available in "real-time" as well.

How is my monthly activity billed?
eConnect's billing works proactively, meaning you pay at the beginning of the month for the emails you plan on sending that month. We offer a range of plans to suit your sending volume, and you can easily adjust them as your volume changes.

We accept both check and credit card. If you are paying by check we ask that you sign-up for a Yearly/ Pre-Purchase subscription package.

What happens if I send more than my allotted plan?
You're charged your plan's per-email rate for each email sent over your allotted number of emails. For example, if you sent 1200 emails at the 1000 email plan, the 200 additional emails would be figured at the per-email rate for your plan (in this case $39.95 divided by 1000 breaks down to $.03 per email). The 200 extra emails at the $.03 rate would bring your overage total to $6. All overages will be billed separately at the end of the billing cycle. You can see a plan-by-plan breakdown in the pricing chart.

Login to you account and click on “My Account” and click on “Update Account”. Here, you'll be able to see your current and previous sending totals.

When I upgrade in the middle of the month, what happens?
If it's halfway through the month and you've already exceeded the plan you've paid for, you're welcome to upgrade your plan mid-month, all you need to do is contact us. On the next month's invoice, you'll be charged the difference between the old plan and the new one (to cover the increased sending for the month before).

Can I upgrade more than once in the same month?
For each upgrade, eConnectEmail.com will automatically charge the difference between your original plan and the new one. So, if you need to upgrade a second time in a month, please contact us so we can make sure your upgrade is figured as it should be.

Can I downgrade later?
Absolutely. We process each month's invoices at the beginning of the month, so you'll want to downgrade your plan by the 25th of the month in advance of our billing cycle. If you've exceeded your plan for the current month *and* are also downgrading for the upcoming month, please drop us a line to make sure your overages are billed at the proper rate.

I meant to upgrade my plan last month, but I forgot. Can you help?
While managing your account's volume is an important part of using eConnectEmail, we know that everybody occasionally forgets something, whether it's lunch or Mom's birthday or plan upgrades. So let us know if you didn't upgrade your plan to match your increase in volume. One time per account, we'll be able to reissue your invoice at a better plan.
