If you are upgrading to eConnect from another email provider, it easy to groom your list to make it eConnect compliant. eConnect allows you to send emails only to people who have opted in to your list. This also means you may not send an eConnect to somebody if they have, in any manner (email, phone call, letter, etc.) requested to be unsubscribed from your list.

To make it easy to ensure that you don't inadvertently send to somebody who has previously unsubscribed, eConnect enables you to exclude a list of recipients from a mailing list by importing a simple text file of email addresses. Once imported, this "exclusion list" will remove each email address from the mailing list you are working with!
